| Duties include training/consulting/public speaking/and technical support for Autodesk's Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) line of software, specifically MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/Piping) software. Background should include work in the engineering professions utilizing Autodesk MEP technology (Revit MEP/AutoCAD MEP). Job requires knowing the engineering profession very well with some knowledge of the software and presentation skills. The job also requires excellent writing, analysis, and verbal skills. Navisworks is secondary, but required, software competency of this position.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Provides technical product assistance to both inside and outside sales representatives in the development and closing of sales opportunities.

- Provides competitive analysis of Company products vs. competitive products throughout the sales cycle.
- Develops and conducts professional product presentations and demonstrations in small and large forums to generate sales and meet revenue objectives.
- Remain up to date with technical knowledge on the Autodesk MEP product line (Revit MEP/AutoCAD MEP).
- Presents products as advantages and benefits for customers.
- Customizes company-standard technical demos to specifically address customer needs.
- In conjunction with sales team activities, may be required to proactively follow up with customer technical lead to provide additional information or answer specific technical questions.
- Plays a key role in further developing current accounts by identifying complete solutions to meet additional unrealized customer needs.
- Develops and implements pre- and post- sales detailed service products.
- Relays information back to product teams regarding new product enhancements, prioritizations, etc.
- Instruct training classes in Autodesk MEP products (Revit MEP primary/AutoCAD MEP secondary).
- Instruct training classes in secondary core competency software
- Supports the success of customers by delivering technical training and product updates.
- Partners with partner sales team to gain in-depth customer knowledge to increase product and services sales.
- Provides technical presentations at trade shows and events.
- May also have a focus on the sales process and sales development.
Requirements:
- BS in Engineering with 4+ years practical engineering experience or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Autodesk product line and understanding of the end-user applications a plus
- Knowledge of software industry and the competitive posture of the company a plus
- Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and support to key customer accounts a plus
- Ability to identify customer needs and new business opportunities
- Ability to translate customer needs into product features.
- Ability to negotiate and execute a variety of support agreements
- Ability to establish and build healthy working relationships with partners, clients, vendors and peers

Additional Requirements:
