Technology has had both a negative, and a positive effect on the job market. While technology has made it easier for people to find work by giving them more tools to find jobs. New technology has also eliminated some of the work that used to be available to people, and because there is technology that can keep people connected to their work at all times, many people are finding themselves working longer hours when they have a job than people used to in the past. The invention of normal cellphones made it possible for employers to contact workers at all times, and the invention of smartphones took things to the next level. Workers who have a smartphone can find themselves at work even when their not at their job.

On a positive note, advances in technology has made it easier for workers to do their jobs, and it has given workers the opportunity to work from home, and at other places away from their job site. Advances in technology were supposed to strengthen the job market and improve the economy, but so far things have seemed to remain about the same, and the job market doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon.
